Grants

Four-month research grants

The One Health Platform offers the opportunity to apply for these grants every year. These grants are intended to facilitate the exchange of scientific techniques and methods, as well as more intensive knowledge transfer, and to strengthen international relations in the context of One Health. Each year, three applicants (PhD or postdoctoral) receive funding. The research placement will take place at a research institution or university of the recipient’s choice in Germany.

On the next page, we introduce the 2026 scholarship recipients.

Travel grants

The annual International One Health Symposium focuses on current issues relating to the One Health approach in interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary scientific exchange. The symposium offers the opportunity to engage in lively discourse on One Health with internationally renowned experts as part of a challenging three-day programme, and to establish and expand contacts and networks.

To promote international networking, the One Health Platform awards several travel grants each year to international researchers to attend the symposium. This year, there is a particular focus on One Health research in Latin America. To support early-career researchers and international exchange, the One Health Platform is awarding ten travel grants this year to young researchers from Latin America.

The call for applications can be found via this link. The deadline for submissions is 22 June.
