4-Monats-Forschungsstipendien

"The workshop and congress reinforced for me that many of the challenges involved in operationalising One Health are shared across very different country contexts. I was particularly struck by the growing emphasis on moving beyond interdisciplinary research towards the practical question of how collaboration can be embedded in routine systems, governance and workforce structures. The experience created concrete new opportunities for collaboration and showed me how transferable my own research findings may be beyond Ghana. It also renewed my motivation and gave me a clearer sense of what excites me at this stage of my career: work closely tied to implementation, policy and practice." Joannishka Dsani, University of Bonn
"Participating in the WOHC side event and the 9th World One Health Congress was a highly valuable opportunity to present my research within an international and truly multidisciplinary One Health environment. What impressed me most was the strong spirit of collaboration and the way researchers from different fields and countries came together around shared challenges at the human–animal–environment interface. The experience not only broadened my scientific perspective and expanded my professional network, but also reinforced the importance of international cooperation in translating research into more integrated and effective One Health surveillance." Azra Bačić, University of Sarajevo
"I particularly appreciated the discussions around the development of European and further international collaborations, as well as the opportunities for exchanges and training for young researchers. Indeed, as a young researcher, I particularly liked to participate in a working group dedicated to promoting young talent in One Health, where we have reflected on how One Health initiatives could better integrate early-career researchers, notably through mentorship, mobility, interdisciplinary training, the opportunities for collaboration and their involvement in networks and governance. These discussions allowed me to better understand the importance of creating opportunities for young researchers not only to be beneficiaries of One Health programs, but also to gradually become actors and future leaders of interdisciplinary and international collaborations." Coch Tanguy Floyde Tanga, Helmholtz Institute for One Health

"Attending the One Health meeting in Lisbon was a very interesting experience for me, especially because it brought together people working in different One Health initiatives and networks from many European countries. Although we all work under the broad concept of One Health, our backgrounds, research topics and daily work are actually very different. For me, this was one of the most valuable aspects of the meeting. It was a good opportunity to see how the same idea can be understood and applied from different perspectives. The poster session was also a useful part of the meeting. It gave me the chance to introduce my own research background and discuss antimicrobial resistance and aquatic animal health with people outside my immediate research field." Dongqing Zhao, Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München

"My participation was particularly relevant to my academic and research activities in Food Hygiene and Technology, a field that inherently reflects the One Health approach through its links with animal health, food safety, public health, zoonotic pathogens, antimicrobial resistance, and the prevention of biological risks throughout the food chain.
During the symposium, I also had the opportunity to present my poster and share my scientific journey, research interests, and career development with other participants. This created a very valuable setting for scientific exchange and networking. In particular, I was pleased to connect with the other recipients of the symposium travel grants, which allowed us to exchange experiences as early-career researchers, learn about each other's research, and establish connections that may develop into future scientific interactions and collaborations."Jerina Rugji, Food Science Researcher Albanien
Reisestipendien
Juni.
