Episode 3 - Disease ecology and young scientists

In this episode, Dr. Magdalena Meyer, PostDoc at the Institute of Evolutionary Ecology and Conservation Genomics at the University of Ulm, gives an insight into her exciting research on the ecology of diseases and the complex interactions between pathogens and their hosts. How is biodiversity linked to the occurrence of viruses in bats in Ghana? What does this mean for the risk of zoonoses? Why is it worth thinking about nature conservation and pandemic protection together? The second part of the episode deals with the position of young scientists and the possible effects of the planned reform of the German Law on Temporary Scientific Contracts.
